I must say that I typically like a short-post blog format with a link to the longer text when there is any but I must say that I've never found your posts too long even when they are long. It's perhaps a subtle difference but I think of your blog as something more like a journal/magazine where I would expect full articles and appreciate them. I find your "articles" worth every word, which is exactly what I want and/or need. I don't find any added fluff so the full article is valued even if long. I hope that if you go the way of podcasts that you provide a nice little abstract with some nice quotes that I can copy and paste into my internal law firm blog entries to entice my lawyers to have a listen.
My only criticism with your blog is that there aren't permalinks to your posts.

Yeah I don't know about "long versus short" posts. I think meaningful is probably the better strategic goal...
Slightly off topic but I read your KM pdf and you might want to check out this company that has a compelling product in the "enterprise wiki" space. I believe this is where KM is headed from a technology perspective (MS's Sharepoint plays here as well).

Seriously, I don't believe that there is a "too long". I write long articles all the time on my Intuitive Life weblog, actually, and as a long-time writer find it hard to stay under 500 -750 words, frankly.
Here are some of my thoughts on this topic, if I may include a link here:
